Travel Planner System

THANKS to the 1,000+ subscribers to this blog!!!

Good morning. It is Sunday May 24, 2020. The world is struggling with different plans on how to restart their economies due to the COVID-19 pandemic that started in a lab in Wuhan, China. It seems like most of the day today is going to be overcast with rain sprinkled here and there. The high temperature in the area I live in is going to be around 76 F. By the way, tomorrow is Memorial Day 2020!

Since I took a Data Science course a couple years ago, I have been talking about a system that would help planning a recreational trip. I have been lucky enough to have traveled for work and holiday reasons in the USA and different countries in North, Central and South America, Western and Eastern Europe and Western Asia. Python Tutorial – CS50

It is Thursday April 23, 2020 and in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul we are still in lockdown for the COVID-19 pandemic, but with some eased restrictions. The Federal Government has defined a very specific set of steps to gradually lift the quarantine in the country. Now it is up to the different States to apply the rules as they fit. If there is a recurrence then the state MUST go back to square one (full quarantine) and repeat the process somewhat slower in order not to overtax the healthcare system. Compose Ranges

It is a rather cold spring day in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. I believe there is a winter storm warning for today all day. This morning when I got up, there was a thin coating of snow on roofs and lawns. The roads seem to just be wet. One way or the other my wife and I are not planning on going out. We are under lockdown due to the Wuhan virus (also known as COVID-19) pandemic.

Besides work I have been taking a few courses, reading technical documents, reading non-technical stuff and watching the news. As of today April 12, 2020 in Dakota County, MN (I live in the city of Apple Valley which is in Dakota County) the total number of deaths attributed to the pandemic in

Dakota County is 4 which represents 0.001% of the population. The previous count of 3 held for several weeks. In the USA the total number of deaths is 20,411 which represent 0.006% of the population of about 330 million. Seems like in this area we are doing well. No matter which city or country you live in, please keep social distancing and do not leave home unless it is needed. In order to beat the pandemic we all need to follow social distancing until a vaccine is available or until the CDC (do not trust unofficial sources) informs us that it is safe for people that have antibodies for them to resume normal activities. Java Collections List

It is a gloomy Tuesday in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. It rained last night. It is quite damp. It is a typical fall day in this part of the country. The only difference is that in the past two years the lawns are green instead of being brown. I do not know for sure the cause for the climate change which is a very controversial topic, but for sure something is changing.

I am going to quickly cover some operations with Lists in Java. Will use lists on my next post. I need a refresher given that lately I have been working with C/C++ and after a few weeks (which in this case included a two week holiday) of not working with a programming language I tend to stumble with the syntax. It all gets back after a day or so of concentrating on the specific language. Continue reading “Java Collections List”

Circular Queue Using Linked List

It is Saturday October 12, 2019 in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul and we are receiving the first snowfall of the season. Seems like a couple days ago the temperature dropped 50 degrees F in a single day in Colorado producing a big snow storm. We are getting the remnants of it.

I took some days off and traveled with friends and family to Europe. We visited Rome, Naples, Sicily, Bruges and Amsterdam. The temperatures in Italy were in the 80s, while the weather in Belgium and the Netherlands was in the 40s and rainy. We saw, ate and had a great time. That said; it is good to be back home.
